Free hemming, for life.
Walk in with a pair of ProTuff™ work pants bought in 2003 or last Tuesday — our master tailors will re-hem them to your spec at no charge. Original receipt not required.
Covers all Gould's-branded bottoms. Trousers, jeans, and bib overalls. Aftermarket alterations marked on the receipt are returned as-is.

Button & rivet replacement.
Lost a shank on the job site? Snapped a suspender button? We carry 14 stocked button styles, plus brass, nickel, and copper rivets — replaced on the spot at any Gould's location.
Covers Gould's-branded shirts, jackets, and outerwear. Western shirts include original-style pearlies and snaps matched to the manufacturing run.

Seam reinforcement & patching.
Our tailors re-stitch split seams and reinforce high-stress points — inseams, knee panels, pocket bags — using period-correct chain-stitch machines. Most repairs are returned the same week.
Patching is provided at cost on heavily worn garments. Crotch blowouts, knee wear, and saddle-rub panels are the most common — all repairable.

If it fails on the job, we replace it.
If a Gould's-branded garment fails during normal work use within one year of purchase, bring it in and we'll replace it — same item, equivalent item, or store credit at your option. Ninety-nine point two percent of claims are honored within 72 hours.
Requires proof of purchase OR a photo of the garment worn on the job. Claim must be filed within 12 months of the original sale date.
The Lifetime Repair Program covers all 14 Gould's private-label collections — ProTuff™, Roughneck Denim, Saddlecloth Wool, Plainsman Flannel, and ten more. Partner-brand items (Carhartt, Ariat, Wrangler RIGGS, Stetson, Pendleton, Filson) are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties; we will still help facilitate repairs at any of our four locations.

All four Gould's locations accept walk-in repair drop-offs during business hours. Tailoring staff is on-site at the Amarillo flagship seven days a week; the Lubbock, Oklahoma City, and Wichita stores staff a master tailor four days per week. Call ahead for large-volume drop-offs (10+ garments).

The questions we get most.
Do I need my original receipt?
No. The Lifetime Repair Program does not require a receipt for hemming, button replacement, or seam reinforcement on Gould's-branded garments. Our tailor can identify Gould's construction by sight — chain-stitched waistbands, branded shanks, and the embossed leather patch on the rear waistband.
For replacement claims (the "if it fails on the job" guarantee), a receipt is preferred but not required if the garment can be identified as Gould's-branded and was sold within the last 12 months. A photo of the failure on the job site helps expedite the claim.
What's the turnaround time for a typical repair?
Most hemming and button replacements are done while you wait — under 30 minutes at the Amarillo flagship and same-day at all other locations. Seam reinforcement and patching takes 3–5 business days. Heirloom restoration (vintage garments, saddle-stitch repair, leather patch re-stamping) can run 2–3 weeks depending on the queue.
Can I ship my garment in for repair?
Yes. Mail your Gould's-branded garment to the Amarillo Repair Department with a short note describing the issue and your contact information. We pay return shipping on every repair, regardless of value. Most mail-in repairs are returned within 7 business days of receipt.

What about non-Gould's brands?
We carry Carhartt, Ariat, Wrangler RIGGS, Stetson, Pendleton, and Filson — and we will facilitate warranty repairs on any of these at our stores, free of charge. Bring the item in with your proof of purchase and our team will handle the claim, shipping, and return on the manufacturer's behalf.
For non-Gould's items outside those brands, we offer paid repair services at standard tailoring rates. Hemming on partner-brand denim starts at $14; chain-stitch hemming (the original roping finish) is $22.
How do I file a replacement claim?
Bring the failed garment to any Gould's location, or email a photo and description to [email protected]. A fit specialist will inspect the garment and verify the failure occurred under normal use. Claims are typically resolved within 72 hours — last year, 99.2% of claims were honored.
Replacement options: (1) the same item, if available; (2) an equivalent item from the same category; or (3) store credit equal to the original purchase price. We do not refund original shipping.
